Have your Principal® spousal consent form notarized safely and securely.

What is an online notary?
An online notary is a service that gives you the ability to notarize your documents online without the hassle of finding and booking a notary.

How does it work?
You will connect with a notary through video chat. The notary will verify your identity and walk you through the notarization process. After your document is signed, you will be able to download a copy of your notarized PDF. This is what you will upload to principal.com.

What does it cost?
The service costs $25. You will be asked to pay this after your document has been successfully notarized. No worries; Notarize offers a money back guarantee.

What will I need?

  • An unsigned Principal® spousal consent form. Please do not sign your form before you meet with a notary
  • One form of ID (here's a list of acceptable IDs)
  • Your US social security number
  • A strong internet connection (we recommend 8mbps download / 1.5 mbps upload or higher)
  • A valid email address
  • An iPhone, iPad, Android device or computer with video and audio capabilities
  • 15 minutes to complete your online notarization
  • A credit card to pay the $25 notarization fee

How it Works

  • 1. Upload your completed spousal consent form

Complete your form (but don't sign it) and then upload to Notarize using your computer, iPhone or Android phone. On Notarize, you can access your completed form from your email, by taking a picture on your phone, or through cloud storage services like Dropbox.

  • 2. Prove your identity.

Notarize uses a patent-pending forensic analysis to verify government issued photo IDs and passports. Take a picture of your government issued ID, answer a few questions, and Notarize will confirm your identity in seconds.
